  1. I give you some (late) love!

brightsunnyskies, polyesterspectre, wingedbookworm, labelledameavecmerci, seekanewerworld, THIS IS FOR YOU ;] I’m sorry it’s so late! Lots of Memorial Day weekend plans and whatnot. But I also just wanted to thank everyone for all the kind words; it’s been a great source of support for me and I really, truly, very appreciate it. In the end, I just want to keep making you guys giggle!

    brightsunnyskies asked:

I wish I had found you earlier.
YOUR BLOG COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH HELP FOR APUSH

    • HAHA awh well if you ever have to take another US history class, I will probably still be here! I’m glad you found me :D

    polyesterspectre asked:

Here’s your .gif, and thank you for the permission. (As well as for the fab comics!)

    • LOLOL I LOVE IT I LOVE IT; man, you just made this ten times funnier for me XD THANK YOOOU

wingedbookworm asked: I’d like to inform you that you are now being followed. :D
    • Aaaah thanks for finding this crazy littler corner and deciding to stick with it! I am not normally completely insane, really

labelledameavecmerci asked: Hallo, yourself! I love your art, and I love that you love history! A book you might like (if you haven’t read it already) is Kenneth C. Davis’s Don’t Know Much About History: Everything You Need to Know about American History but Never Learned. Its title belies the fact that it’s not a “US history for dummies”-type book - it’s actually a witty, richly detailed overview of American history.

Anyhow, I came across an anecdote about Washington in it that I thought you might enjoy (and possibly wish to illustrate? :) ): “…In Boston, bands of American rebel fighters had gotten into a near riot. Washington raced to the scene on horseback and landed in the midst of a brawl. Physically imposing, Washington grabbed two of the men fighting, lifted each off the ground, and shouted commands at the rest. A witness to this scene, Major General John Sullivan of New Hampshire later said, ‘From the moment I saw Washington leap the bars at Cambridge, I never faltered in the faith that we had the right man to lead the cause of American liberty.’”

    • AHAHA OH. MY. GOODNESS. I need to freak out first. THAT VIDEO. I am appreciating like crazy. I think my favorite thing about it is seeing James Madison rapping. Actually, my favorite thing is EVERYTHING about it. Thank you so much for showing it to me! AND YES. That book! I’ve read parts of it before, but not all of it! It was a long time ago, I think I just might have to find it again. Omg and I love that anecdote about Washington; I saw it in Chernow’s book and McCullough’s 1776 too. The image I remember getting from it is that he “shook them like dogs” or some such. SUPER AMUSING, thank you for reminding me about it XD And I love that YOU love history! I can’t express how happy it makes me every time I meet a fellow history nerd. That’s something I like about tumblr, it brings people with similar interests together :]
seekanewerworld asked: Someone on my dashboard reblogged your amazing Adams and Jefferson comic, and as someone who has basically memorized all of 1776 (lyrics AND dialogue) I of course came looking for more. Your art is wonderful and I LOVE that there’s so much Founding Fathers and historical geekery. Following with glee and eagerly looking forward to whatever you decide to do next. <3
    • :D Thank you!! And wow! Lyrics and dialogue!? Kudos to you, you are a true history geek. This automatically makes you marvelous X]
