redheadedgnomegirl, amillionbilliontrillionstars, lordroccogreyforge, p11xx, theironicgnome, I have got some servings for you!
redheadedgnomegirl asked: Inspired by your comic about Andrew Jackson: Have you heard of Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson?
- I have! But I have only seen one song, I think it is in the beginning? The one with “populajism” hahaha
amillionbilliontrillionstars asked: Your drawings are awesome and I love history, so whoa. It makes me happy when I find a really good blog, keep it up! :D
- Oh my! Thank you!! Puahaha I’m just happy that you can find something you like in this insane corner of the Internet and I am always happy to meet new history nerds :] I hope I can continue to please!
lordroccogreyforge asked: Will you ever draw Adams? :(
- I actually have! He is floating around in a couple of comics, mostly as a sidekick though. But I haven’t done anything focused especially on him. At least, not yet!
p11xx asked: Right, so I think I just fell in love with everything on your blog ever.
Thank you for enriching me life, thank you so much <3
- Daaawh thanks! It actually must be all the history enriching you because my stuff is so terribly silly! Haha but really, thank you :D History and art lovers are forever welcome here
theironicgnome asked: Creeping back through your blog (I am a history major who has only recently decided to descend into the mainstream hipsterdom that is tumblr, only after pondering this paradox for months) I not only LOVE your history comics with a burning passion only reserved for Jack Davenport and Abraham Lincoln chia pets, (I’m an American history focus) but I also noticed the vampire comic from sometime last year. And I just had to recommend Elizabeth Kostova’s “The Historian” if you have not already read it. Because it is exactly the vampire novel you’re looking for and it is full too the brim with real history as well. It is the only vampire novel I’ve read since Dracula that isn’t complete shit.
Cheers! Sorry for being obnoxious with my suggestion! But seriously that book is so good.
- OOOOH I have read it! I heartily agree, it is an amazing vampire novel; I love Dracula, too, and I was so happy when I found “The Historian” because it used letters and correspondence as part of its story as well. And there was tons of history of course! And oh my goodness, thank you for the awesome compliment! I’m really quite honored that you can rank my silly comics as one of your passions; Abe Lincoln chia pets ARE pretty dang marvelous so I am very flattered! Haha I was the same way about tumblr too (to tumblr or not to tumblr, that is the question)! I hope you are glad you have joined! Welcome, welcome :]
